Hello, Aileen. A few years back my Aunt in Bellaghy, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland sent a pamphlet to me that contained a photograph of an Emily Dawson from Allan Bridge in Scotland. My Aunt wrote that the parents of the woman who gave her the pamphlet received a post card from Emily. Emily is standing in the doorway of a home with another woman. The postcard is dated 1910. Perhaps your Catherine and my Emily are related? The pamphlet was advertising the 3rd Magherafelt Festival of Women. Saturday 24th May 1997. Unfortunately, there is no address etc. for who produced the pamphlet. However, searching the GENUKI pages for Scotland the only mention I have found of this place is on the Stirlinghsire pages and it is described as a police burgh quoted from Bartholemew's Gazatteer of the British Isles, 1887. I'd like to order some films to find out more information on my great great grandmother, but I need a parish number. Can anyone help?
