Just a short note to let everyone know that Des Garrity now has the 1861 census indexes for Bridgeton and the Scottish Marine returns complete and available for purchase on fiche. The Marine Returns cover all British ships in Scottish ports (Royal and Merchant Navy) on the night of the census and although they are mainly sailors, some families are also listed.
