    3. Hi, There can be quite a variation on OPR baptisms given the clerk in charge. You can get parish records where the writing is beautiful and the information exact on the other hand try the New Monkland registers about 1830. There were so many people flooding into the area that the parish register became a mere accounts book and the writing was terrible. My ancestors were merely recorded as paying to be married in May of 1830. No parents, no witnesses, no nothing.
