Thanks to those with who helped me with information about Newhall Street, Barony, Lanark ... My anticipation of my trip to Scotland grows by leaps and bounds! To Edward Andrews ... of course my "supposes" (suppose they are still there, suppose they are still Presbyterians ...) are long shots, but all around me in my tiny Massachusetts town are houses that have been in the same family for well over a hundred years. It could happen. It's so wonderful here and we all love it so much, that I fully expect my family will be right here when another 130 years have gone by.
