Hi Michael, Thank you for the message. So far I haven't found any variations for the name EDGE in my research. I have John/Jack EDGE who married Ann FOSTER/FORSTER/FORRESTER at Chester in 1872 John was born Tarvin, Cheshire c 1850 and Ann c 1852 at Ellesmere Port. All their children seem to have been born in Cheshire. Who knows what I'll find when I get further back. Thought "EDGE" was an uncommon name when I got married in Aust. My husband came out here aged 12 When I started to research the name, I found there were dozens of John Edge in the records. Good luck with your research. Regards from Nancy Edge in Australia. -----Original Message----- From: Michael D Stenhouse <michael.stenhouse@vf.telia.no> To: SCOTLAND-GENWEB-L@rootsweb.com <SCOTLAND-GENWEB-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Friday, October 22, 1999 9:40 PM Subject: SV: Please write again-lost everthing >Dear Nancy, >My mothers maiden name is EDGES.
