    3. In Scotland, England & Wales, every 10 years from 1801 (excluding 1941 due to the war). There is a 100 year closure period and only those from 1841 are generally available/useful. There are currently various digitisation projects on the go but nothing is yet on the web. Scots Origins have an online index to 1891 and 1881 is available on CD ROM from LDS distributors. I'm not sure about Ireland. A lot of Irish records were lost in 1916. Look at more detailed census information at http://www.genuki.org.uk/ Grant E. L.
