    1. House of Gordon(McIntosh)
    2. Hi List, To start off I would like to thank Elizabeth for all were help. Now my question.Correct me If I'm wrong.Kinrara was like a estate of land that belonged to the House of Gordon. That people lived off this land like renting it.I was told by another person in Scotland that the House of Gordon keep good records on the people that were on there land.Is this true?If anyone has a book or listing of these records, could they do a look up for me. I'm interested in finding my gggg grandfather's birth date,I checked the OPR,his parents were Alexander and Girsell McIntosh, his name was Laughlin McIntosh, birth around 1761.In a book I have it said Laughlin along with his father and brother joined the 71st Highlanders.I have found all of Alexander's and Girsell kids except for Laughlin,he was a drummer in the regiment,I wonder if the House of Gordon would contain such records.I'm also trying to find with Elizabeth's help Alexander McIntosh's parents.Naming for highland boys was ussally done by way of first born son was named after fathers father.Alexander first born was named William, all christening were at Alvie parish.Elizabeth did some checking for me because I found a Alexander being born and christened at Alvie parish to a John and Jean McIntosh, but I can't prove that connection.I was wondering if the House of Gordon would contain such documents if they were born on there land.I feel I'm getting close but need some proof. When I was checking through some OPR's there was not many listing for the year 1761. Thanks again Elizabeth, and If there is anyone out there that would have such documents. And please about Kinrara and House of Gordon, please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks So Much, Terry McIntosh-
