Dear Listers, Hit another blank wall. I finally got a copy of my dad's birth certificate James Alexander Taylor (he was born in South Africa, December 15, 1918) and I was hoping to find details on it (dob / location) about his parents, born in Scotland. Well, it did not tell much more than I already knew. Hence, my plea again. Can anyone help me to trace my grandparent's origin in Scotland. The information I received from my dad's certificate says: His father was James TAYLOR born Scotland His mother was Annie Robertson WALL born in Scotland {Here we have DISCREPANCY, not sure if it is an copy error since I had always believed based on info from my dad that his mother's maiden name was WATT not WALL}. Again info from my dad said his dad was born in Craigellachie, Morayshire (or surrounds) and did an apprenticeship in Elgin and his mom is from Edinburgh (or surrounds)? Any suggestions, Please help!
