    3. Good Morning, Denise: Just noticed your last name, and I wonder if you might be able to help me with my Reid family. My grandmother was Mary Reid, daughter of John and Jane (Riddell) Reid. John was born 7 July, 1823 at Askirk, and married 9 Mar. 1835 at Wilton Jane Riddell (born 28 Dec. 1831 at Hawick). John Reid's father was James, but all I know of James is that married in 1823 Margaret Haldane (or Haddon). Would you have any information I could use? It's a little difficult trying to trace these folks from the U.S. Any information would help. Thanks in advance.
