Charles was born in 1824 as follows:- MURRAY, Charles Christening Gender: Male Birth Date: 26 Sep 1824 Christening Date: 27 Sep 1824 Recorded in: Stranraer, Wigtownshire, Scotland Father: John MURRAY Mother: Mary MCWILLIAM Source: FHL Film 1068042 Dates: 1695 - 1855 On the 1901 census his place of birth was Lanarkshire. I really want to know his wife Ann's maiden name so I can trace her parents. What records are available on line relating to BMD's before registration ? Any help most gratefully appreciated.
