Yes, I found that when I got out my A to Z, but - oh, well, family legends! We now find that an aunt was MATILDA ANN SIMPSON, born December 27, 1923 at 66 Lightburn Road, Cambuslang, Lannark, Scotland. Father JAMES SIMPSON, Engineer's Fitter, Mother CAROLINE JOHNSTON. James and Caroline were married on November 28, 1918 in Blythswood District, Glasgow. We actually found a 92 year old uncle living in Pretoria who had Matilda's birth certificate, but not his own! Can anyone guide me to the Cambuslang records? Unfortunately my drive for the CDs has decided to go on strike, so until the Fundi calls I can't look at my 1881 or Vital Records. Just hoping somebody knows where they are on line - or belongs to the Simpson family. Thanks for all the help over Arbroath, Andrea and Noel and others who sent info.
