Dear Listers I am looking for the birth of Charles MURRAY my g.g.grandfather and after searching on various websites etc. have loads of Charles MURRAYS born around 1824 in Scotland. One Charles MURRAY found on 1901 census which would fit in with mine states that he was born in Lanarkshire. As I know very little about the counties in Scotland, could someone please let me have a list of the counties that come within the Lanarkshire area. I can then compare all the other entries I have with various places to see if any of them come within Lanarkshire, or would have done way back around 1824.
