    3. Just want to say thank you to everyone who looked up George Meikle and wife Margaret in the 1881 census. Too many of you to list, so thanks to all! Because of your information from 1881, we were able to today to locate Margaret's death in New Monkland. And we found George's death prior to that in Dalserf. Sent away today for the documents to prove it all. By the way for everyone's information, Robert Wright and wife Mary Meikle immigrated to Colorado, USA and settled in Broomfield, Colorado. They started the Broomfield Creamery, and also a boarding house. Mary later was appointed to the position of State Dairy Commissioner - the first woman in Colorado to be appointed to that position! She died out in California in 1921. If anyone out there is related to her, I have more information on her. And Mary Meikle was daughter of Margaret, not granddaughter as it says in the census. Thanks again everyone! Don and Mary in Wyoming
