Hello all, I'm heading north into Scotland this weekend to visit relatives in Lanark (the town not the county) and would very much like to have as much to tell them of my research as I can find. To fill in one or two gaps, could sks with access to the 1881 census please look up the following for me? 1. John STEWART and wife Margaret (nee Fraser) with children Alexander (b. 1874) and John (b. approx. 1877). John was living in Castlecary, Falkirk, Stirlingshire when he got married in 1874, and Margaret in Redcastle, Killearnan. By 1891, they had moved to Abington, Lanarkshire. In 1874, John was working as a Forester but later became an Estate Overseer (poss. change of jobs matching up with change in location?). Before her marriage, Margaret was a dressmaker. 2. Robert FARQUHAR and wife Elizabeth Margaret (nee Wylie) with children Sarah (b. 1868), Robert (b. 1870), Eleanor (b. 1873, but may have died before her first birthday), Archibald (b. 1874). The older children are all recorded as having been born in Kilmarnock where Robert lived before his marriage. Archibald was born in Hutchesontown, Glasgow. At the time of his marriage, Robert was working as a Druggist and Chemist's Assistant. Thank you very very much Lesley
