Hi I am looking for my ggrandfather and his family, which seems to be a brick wall in most respect! I wonder if anyone has access to the 1851 and/or 1861 census and could check for the following people. I don't have exact address--sorry :o( but have an idea of the area they should be found in. Sanquhar, Dumfries and area: Richard HALLIDAY--head Jean (Jane?) nee KETLEY--wife Agnes HALLIDAY, dau (born aprox. 1847) Archibald HALLIDAY, son (born aprox. 1843) I am hoping to see if there were other children, and to confirm if the family was still living in Scotland at the time of these censuses (censi??). Also looking for the birthplace of Richard and Jean (Jane?). I simply cannot seem to find any information on this family during this time period--can't even find their death records!! I have Archibald's info from 1871-1879, but then he dissapears again never to be seen again. Thanks for any leads that SKS might be able to provide!
