Don - A few ideas and places to check out. The 1871 Ontario census is indexed, heads of house only, and is available at local libraries, bound by county. Check out Ontario Cemetery Finding Aids <www.schober.com/ocfa/> .Many cemeteries have been indexed - you enter the surname and it will give you a list of all of that surname in the recorded cemeteries. It may give you some direction for your research. Ontario Archives are in Toronto - There should be much there you could check out. Hope this helps. George M.
