John, can you give us a naming pattern? As people from Scotland followed; Eldest son after paternal grandfather, second son named after the maternal grandfather and so on. We know that ROB was Presbyterian and that toward the end of his life he turned Catholic, the Priest in mention was Alexander Drummond. My McGrigors are spelled Grigor also. James Mohr (big James may have had a William) The I.G.I shows a William m to Janet McGregor 13 August 1776?? I have some of the Balquhidder Parish Record, out, over at LDS right now, I don't see alot of Williams. Where and what parish, or farm are yours from? There sure is lots of Fergussons and Buchanans tho. And DRUMMONDS, most likely alias of McGregor. There was a William McGregor who was a gatekeeper who came to Ontario. I see there is a John DRUMMOND m to a Margaret McLaren in your area, that had a WILLIIAM born at Licherdan? (not sure what this is) born 1774. See if you can give me more clues to go on...
