I'm wondering how permanent the inks are in these copy machines? When we were buying a scanner we were told that the colored inks were not permanent. I don't know if this is true for the black ink. I can make a much better quality copy of a photo with my scanner, though, than I get from having a photographic copy made at a camera store ($5 for a 5x7), especially if I use the photo quality papers available. Be sure to read the box as some of the papers are acid free and some are not.
