Hello Bob, A couple of years ago I remember being in a very interesting museum in the Main Street of Auchterarder, local history, had a look around so your bro could do that. The only other thing I could suggest for a weekend, the Main Library in Perth is open Saturdays and genealogical info available there which would include Auchterarder. Hope someone else can suggest other avenues which would prove fruitful. Afternoon tea at Glenealges Hotel beside the famous golf course is very nice too. It is only five mins. from Main Street.
