Would there be any kind soul who could do a look-up for me on the 1861 and/or 1871 census in either Muiravonside or Old Monkland, for the following family: Archibald Douglas PETTIGREW (b1802 Old Monkland, Lanark) and wife Elizabeth (nee Chitty)dob & birthplace (England) not known. Married 13/6/1836 in Old Monkland, Lanark. Children: Sarah, b1837 Old Monkland, Marion b1841 Muiravonside, Archibald Douglas b1843 Muiravonside, Charlotte b1845 Muiravonside. Notes: Archibald Douglas (b1843 above), was married in 1866 to Jane Hutton Stewart, so in 1871 would be shown at a different address with 2 children. 1. Archibald Douglas Pettigrew b1867, 2. William Pettigrew, born 1869. Marion was married in Old Monkland on 31/10/1871, after the Census Charlotte was married in Muiravonside on 25/12/1875 and moved to Liverpool The 1851 Census showed them living in Muiravonside. The 1881 Census, did not show any of the family at all, except for Charlotte in Liverpool. So whether the family lived in Muiravonside or Old Monkland during 1861 & 1871 I am not sure.
