Good evening all When I was young too I was told that my grandmother's Malloch ancestors were descended from Rob Roy and like John, I became interested in Genealogy through trying to prove that tale. Apart from the fact that Malloch was one of the names taken by the McGregors when they were proscribed and thanks to Annie I discovered that my ggreatgrandfather Donald Malloch, his father and uncle all swore allegiance to the McGregor chief in ( I think)1812, I have not got any further forward Kay
