Elsie I think I saw an index to some (or all) parts of Skye 1841 census on fiche at the Scottish Genealogy Society when I was there in '98. It may have been only for Strath and it was produced by someone in Australia. (The Statistical Account of Scotland in 1841 mentions large numbers from Strath taking advantage of free passages to Australia.) .Probably you should try a direct query to Scottish Genealogy Society scotgensoc@sol.co.uk. But their 'General Information' states that a £2 charge is made for queries from non members. If you don't get an immediate answer you could get your local LDS to send off for the reel of the 1841 census. Bracadale is probably small enough not to need an index Jim McArthur
