My nan, Joan Irving's mother was Lilian C.M.M Hudson, whose parents were Charles Hudson and Margaret Smart. All came from the Dumfries area. Has anyone come across any of these in their research. Also, would someone please look up Charles Hudson and Margaret Smart in the 1881 census for the Dumfries area please. (I haven't received my copy of the census yet!)
