Good morning, Ray: I've no idea where James Adams came from in Scotland - he was one of the Scots prisoners taken by British forces following the Battle of Dunbar in 1650 and shipped to America where he was indentured to the Saugus Iron Works. There is apparently no way of telling who his parents were or where he came from, unless luck is really with us and we hit paydirt when we're least expecting it. Have you some idea where your Adamses were from, and whether there was a James amongst them?
