Thought Id try again to see if anyone has a Peter Grant in their line. According to his naturalization papers in 1840 from NYhe was born in Inverness in Sept. 1809.(i have had people tell me he may have lied about his birthday ..you know take a couple of years off and that he said Inverness as people would have heard of it) He came to the US in 1833. I have looked at the LDS and I cannot find his parentage..I have no idea what ship he came over on, if he came alone, etc. i do not know what faith he was either. There is another Grant researcher from my line who has gone crazy combing everywhere for Peters ancestry and she has been unable to come up with anything...I am hoping someone here has a "missing" Peter Grant in their line that went to the US around 1833. Peter married in the US so I believe he was unmarried when he left Scotland. Thank you in advance. Michele R. Lockwood
