Mr. Dave Bennett has produced an outstanding FREE software program called Parish Locator (latest version 2.3), which contains a huge number of parishes, allows you to locate them on a map, and to plot the direction and distance from one to another, among many other wonderful capabilities. In my opinion, anyone doing genealogical research in the UK will benefit greatly from this program. Mr. Bennett is now adding Irish parishes to the program, and some are already listed.
