Regarding passenger lists, I have hundreds of online lists and links to lists going to Canada at Olive Tree Genealogy's ships Passenger Lists online for Canada http://olivetreegenealogy.com/ships/tocanp01.shtml I also have a brand new set of search engines to search various databases of ships to Canada - please try them at http://olivetreegenealogy.com/ships/search_shipscanada.shtml They include most ships lists on the 'net (going to Canada) as well as a search box for the NAC database of ships to Canada 1925-35 and the InGeneas databases (2 of them) for immigration to Canada 19th and 20th Centuries. As for Census records for Canada vary by Province so you will need to consult records specific to your Province of interest. See http://olivetreegenealogy.com/can/ont/census.shtml for Ontario Census records. I also have a search engine to search the online 1901 census for Canada on this page. Other ideas for you to try: They are discussed on my census pages at http://olivetreegenealogy.com/can/ont/census.shtml Also see The Ships List at http://www.theshipslist.com/ for newspaper accounts of voyages For more details of what is available, where to find it, how to access the records, and for links to specific databases for these records, please see my article online on Immigration to Canada at http://olivetreegenealogy.com/articles/articles.shtml For vital stats (her death cert will be available to you) see my pages at http://olivetreegenealogy.com/can/ont/vs.shtml Best of luck!
