Require some help with the below!. I have been sent a copy of a few pages from the "Midlothian: Edinburgh Roll of Burgesses and Guild Brethren 1761-1841 (Abercrombie-Huie) " and from a section they show our "David Ogilvy" = as listed below QUOTE = "David, painter, B., in r. of (fr.) Alexr. O., skinner, B. 23 Feb 1797" I have now purchased his "Will from Web Site of http://www.scottishdocuments.com/content/default.asp and I am in the middle of deciphering same. His Will shows his death date as "Eleventh November 1829 Edinburgh" Yes I feel from the "Edinburgh Roll of Burgesses" we have his fathers christain name "Alexander" and proffession/trade as "Skinner" [1] For the year of 1829 where would I be able to purchase his death certificate??
