Yes, I'd look at the actual records themselves and not the IGI entry. You may think that they are birth records when they may be a records of thier christening. Also it could be the date the birth is recorded in the parish record, and not thier actual date of birth. That would probably be found in the actual record which you may view on microfilm or microfiche.
