Hi everyone, this is a little off topic but I thought I would give it a try! I am a piper and looking for the bagpipe sheet music for the songs, Journey to Skye and Lord Lovatt's Lament, if anyone can help me........ great!!! On the topic of geneology.....thanks to all your help I have been able to trace my family in Kilbride to the 1300's. I have hit a brick wall. There is no record of my family being in Scotland before the 1300's. The name is LICKPRIVICK/LECKPREVICK/LAPRAIK and they had a castle in Kilbride until the 1500's when it was destroyed. I am not sure if I cannot find any records for before the 1300's because there were not any made at that time or if because they might have been immigrants as the name Lapraik is not typically scottish in my mind, maybe I am wrong. I dont know my history that well, is there a time when people came over from France or Germany or somewhere at this time, I am trying anything!!
