Looking for anyone who is also searching the Loraine family originally from Duns and Coldingham,Berwickshire. Robert Loraine, b. 1745 m Mary Atchison in 1783. Son. Robert b. 1784 m Catherine Gibson in 1805. They had 10 children the youngest of whom was Samuel b. 1830, my great-great grandfather who moved to Edinburgh in 1856 with his wife, Jane Patterson. They had 8 children including Samuel, b. 1874, my great grandfather. His son, Samuel b. 1899 was the first to emigrate to Canada in 1948.
