Hi Lucille, I noticed that your great grandmother was Jane Reid (Riddell) born in Hawick 28.12.1831. She didn't happen to have an older sister, Catherine, did she? I have a Catherine Riddell born 1826/7 who married Alexander Scott in Hawick on 17. 5.1848 but I haven't been able to find anything else about her.
