Some of this ties in with information I have at present. The name Habbick is from the German meaning of the name. I know John's father was William married to Helen Kirk and was a Damask Weaver. He was born, according to my info in Edinb and died in East Port Street, Dunfermline. They had 9 children that I know of, one of them being John whom you mention. The John I have also ties in with the info you have given me that he was a police officer and I have him married to a Elizabeth [Betsy] McNair and they had 6 children that I know of. The Mrs. Ramsay - John's married daughter is I think the Susan K. Habick I have married to Alex William Ramsay - married in St. Giles Edinburgh. None of this I have been really able to tie in until now - which is great. Can you tell me what the name of the book was and the year it was published.
