My Allans came from South Ronaldsay in 1842. I am always interested in the surname and will keep an eye out for yours. Allan descendants ( I think all from Scotland) settled around Perth, Ontario, some around Guelph, Ontario, mine at Port Rowan Ont, and migrated to Toronto. Then there is the well known Allan Steamship Line originating I think in Glasgow, coming to Montreal.
