Surnames: Briggs, Moorehead, Spencer, Messer/Mercer, Engle, Carrouthers, White, Cummins, Larrisons, Watts, Bright, Fegus, O'Donnell, Anker, Brock, Craig, Rainey, McClain, White, Williams, etc Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/EgC.2ACE/2094.554.1084 Message Board Post: Good Morning Glen: I just wanted to drop a few words, ref: Moorehead, Muirhead Clan, and also in reference to Your Surname Carruther's, Funny I can Trace My Family back to John MOOREHEAD b. 1712, Ireland D: Oct 7, 1775, Penn, wife Barbara FERGUS, #2 Catherine, kids by Barbara, which She & John our My 5th GGrandparents, and therfore, I believe if Your related to them (CARRUTHERS) Surnames, comes in play re:George and Kids, b. abt 1784, Ireland, and these families, along with others, came thru Pa, and too OHIO, was Moorehead brother's, (One seem to like other Brother's Dau, which inventually caused a Family problem, so some came to Ohio one way and other's came another way. (We have here in Guernsey Co, (per people say (@) Moorehead Family however, I have proved different in relation to My 2nd GGrandfather Fergus, I have tried to explain, info I rec, fr another Surname who marr into Family abt Names such as Moorehead/Moorhead/Morehead spellings (the individual is a Member of Our Family by Marriage on Femele side who marr a Male Moorehead, and can't PROVE where their Relation was born, (Quote on or near senecaville Ohio abt: 1804, or there abouts, however, this indiv, is also a Son of the same Moorehead men, but just wondered what You might have on Your sid e of family since for Year's when I lived in a Trailer Ct, their was and older Lady that always said Hello to Me, and called me by my first name, and I had never was introduced personally, but My Wife at time, because Her Mother lived their, made arrangements for Us to move. Now after all those year's, I Know how she knew Me, because She was a Carruthers, (I believe that was spelled,) but co! nnection is also thru James Carrouthers, and Elizabeth WILSON, marr 1831, Moorefield Twp, Harrison Co, Oh, plus other Surname connection's, so I would like to chat with You just too see if their is a connection, of which I believe are their, by way of several family Surnames.
