The mother of Mr Habbick was a Kirk whose parents came from the small estate of Bogside beyond Saline. The father of John was a weaver and had some 4 or 5 looms in the premises in east port street exactly opposite . In the house John now lives with his wife and married daughter (Mrs Ramsay).
