Hi Pete, It is, of course, possible, but it would be difficult to find out. The online marriage index for Scotland only goes up to 1929; anything more recent than that is only available to view on site at New Register House. You could hire someone to go in for you, but even at that you're not guaranteed a result. If you could get your hands on the birth records of the children you might find the marriage date and place, which would be a good starting place. That's how it's done in Scotland. Hope this helps, Leslie "Record Inspector" Affordable GROS lookups and transcriptions: <http://www.kodiak-web-design.com/recordinspector/> On 31/05/2004 08:02:26, scotland-l@rootsweb.com wrote: > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Surnames: Tyson, Filkins. > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/EgC.2ACE/9927 > > Message Board Post: > > Albert Tyson married a Miss Filkins and had three children starting in > 1946 in Carlisle.
