I have found the census of 1850 shows John ( called Jno ) 38, Janet 37 and children Mary 11, Agnes 9, John 5, William and Janet 1. The children are shown as being born in New York, John and Janet both show Scotland as their place of birth.I tend to think that they immigrated as a couple at the same time, together although I can't find a ship record for them.Any help would be greatly appreciated.
