As far as I know not to many of my family came to the states. Most of my Families are from Ireland/England and Scotland. And I know some were still in Scotland in the 1920's thru 1970's. My family names consist of Ramsay/McIntosh/Bell/Stewart/McPhie/McMillian/Murray McCulloch Sharkey/Poss I found some in the Scotland census. We have Priest/Nuns/Policeman/Tram Car Conducters/ Spirit Merchants/Cabinet makers/Bottle Blowers etc.. Farmers and so on. Just cannot locate any living Family ( I am in contact with some but,we are at a stand still)!!! I have a lot of Stewarts in Scotland, in my family tree. My Allans came to Canada in 1842 from St Margarets Hope, South Ronaldsay, Orkney.
