1. DENNING & Variants DNA Projects Results so far
2. 1st let me say I am not one looking for some royalty just the story of some stone masons Ok my results are in.And they paint a much different picture then the one I thought was there.I was thinking Ireland,Scotland & England. Maybe Germany & Scandanavia. You know something simple. I did have 16 + people with exactly what I had as shown below So the first 12 markers came back and this is what i matched country#entries background # of matches Australia (65) Greek 1 Austria-Hungary(45) - 1 Belarus (99) Ashkenazi (Volozhin) 1 England (3083) - 5 France (228) - 3 Germany (795) - 5 Greece (56) - 1 Lithuania (130) - 2 Lithuania (130) Ashkenazi (Volozhin) 1 Romania (103) - 3 Russia (1193) - 1 Russia (1193) Ashkenazi 1 Russia (1193) Ashkenazi-Levite 1 Scotland (889) - 1 Sweden (86) - 6 Unknown Origin - 11 The Hungarian might be linked to the Marie Therese of the Ausrto-Hungarian Empire and the French could be conected to the Plantagents of French and British Monarchys. All this is still to be proven but the links to the area are there. The reason for so few Scotland & Ireland is simple not many with this name& Variants have tested. The Clendinnins ,Dunnings ,Dennis ,and Dunn's some are close to this, The Clendinnins show some real results. Now yesterday my final 25 came back and it a bit clearer but not so obvious I had no matches and what it shows is this. With people who have 3 Step Mutations they fall like this Country (#Entries) Comment Your Matches British Isles (77) - 1 Germany (418) - 3 Unknown Origin - 2 Maybe the real base of the name is Dennig. So it narrows the closer relations to Britian and Germany. This can be explain any number of ways Anglo Saxons the easiest. But this is still an incomplete picture until we get more results. So we need you and your males to find the answers. Oh! one more thing,I have a EB Hallogroup which is slightly different from the norm in Britian. and my twelve markers does seem to have a Jewish root. This can be explained in migrations west from the Russian steps or by Berbers coming thru Spain. The more people we test the better the picture If you have questions they will be answered on this page http://www.familytreedna.com/default.asp you can join on this page http://www.familytreedna.com/surname_join.asp?code=J41023&special=True the projects web page http://www.familytreedna.com/public/Denning&variants -------------------------- Chelsea,Ma.-Woburn,Ma.-denning-dennen-danin-dinan-dinihey-denningston-dinning- carlon-carroll-dever-cogan-malone-heslin-piscopo-mazzola-martini-farrell-mchug h-farley-grimes-lynch-doherty-SanDanto,Ita-Adargh,longford-Revere,Ma-Wintrop,M a.-sprague- and ever growing list Jim Denning
