Charles' parents were James Whiteside and Mary Agnew, possibly of Ireland. Charles died in 1875 in Pollokshields, Glasgow. Susan Farrell, born abt.1839 to James Farrell and Mary Ann McDonald, also possibly of Ireland, had 6 children: Mary Ann Whiteside,born 1858; Susan, 1859; Jemima, 1865; James, 1868; Sarah, 1870; and Annie, 1872.
