    3. Hi, Would the image of a marriage list the parents of the bride? this would be between 1800-1820. I don't want to use credits if the information is not recorded. Thanks. Kathleen

    3. Hi Kathleen Scotland's People do not list parents of the bride until compulsory registration 1855. (Think I am right there) To then marriages were recorded in the Parish records.(You will get same info on LDS site) If you know the Parish you can hire the films via your local FHC and it is usually listed like this Date John Smith of this parish wed Mary Brown also of this parish on .......... or Date John Smith not of this parish wed Mary Brown of this parish on......... or vise versa. I did send to Scotland many years ago for an 1835 wedding certificate and all I got was what was on the LDS site!! Cost me about 8 pounds too as it was before Scotlands People was online. Therefore don't waste your credits.
