I am trying to find out more about John MacDonald and Ann MacMillan who came from Harris and settled at 57 Balallan around 1830. John was a tailor, as was his son (also John). I found the death of Ann MacMillan in 1857 and found the family in subsequent census records - but I am having difficulty finding John MacDonald's death to get his parents names.
