My father-in-law, William McCririck, was born in the farmhouse at Muirdyke Farm near Cumnock, Ayrshire, in December 1901. The family left the area for Dunure around 1910. In 1998 my wife and I found the old farm but unfortunately the farmhouse was in ruins. Only the outside walls and interior spiral staircase remained standing. Would there be a photo of the house in it's prime in any of the reference books in Old Cumnock? Would gladly pay a fee for someone to scan and email me a picture of the house before it was abandoned.
