It is quiet - but you might get some more responses there. Hatton Burn Farm is just north of Milnathort. Try this: http://www.multimap.com/ - key in Milnathort into the search box and zoom in on the circle a couple of times. Balgedie is to the south east of Milnathort on the east side of Loch Leven. The best reference book for Kinross-shire is "The Annals of Kinross-shire" - much of which is on line at: http://www.tulbol.demon.co.uk/annals1.htm The Tullibole site also mentions: "David Marshall's Kinross-shire & and its Owners, Kinross, Orwell and Portmoak. pp700. 3 vols There is only four copies of this book and they are held at Kinross Library, Perth Library, Scottish Record Office, and one privately held. The contents of this book is the result of David Marshall's research in the Kinross House Charter Room. some of the research goes back to II David. Contains assorted history and the history of 30 Kinross-shire farms their owners and etymology and genealogy research." - and lists the owners at: http://www.tulbol.demon.co.uk/kinross-shire_and_its_owners.htm You can try contacting the AK Bell library in Perth: http://www.pkc.gov.uk/library/ - (I'm not there is a Kinross library anymore!) Hatton Burn Farm is now run by "Crop Sure (Kinross)" - an agricultural merchant.
