You may be aware that the images on the Scotlandspeople website have been unavailable recently due to a massive data centre power failure out with our control. The site is currently functional with all search indexes, 1881 census returns and all statutory birth and death images available. Statutory marriage and Census images, however, are in the process of being restored to the site and work will continue until this is complete and the site is fully operational. Credits purchased before the images become fully available will automatically be allocated a session time of 7 days. In addition, once the site is fully restored, customers will be given a further 7 days in which to use any remaining credits purchased during this period. As a result of some images not being available we have temporarily disabled the viewed images and timeline links. These will be restored when this site is fully functional.
