I live Newtownards Co. Down, and it was bought locally. It includes the first line, words and music, of "The Captive Knight". Harriett wrote the music and Mrs. Hermans the words. It also states Harriett died 1858 (or it might be 1853), and Mrs. Hermans died 1835. I have tried for some time to trace Harriett's relatives, but don't know where she was born. By chance I tracked down some of her sheet music, at a University, Chapel Hill, Carolina. Harriett and Mrs. Hermans were sisters, and the song was dedicated to Sir Walter Scott. This made me wonder were the sisters Scottish, although the music seemed to be printed in America, by various publishers. Has anyone heard of the sisters? The artist seems to be M. S. Selt. A monogram on the back look like F A C, or T C, and the date 1928 is also on the back.
