"SWAN RIVER, MAN. - Fullerton Somerville, 85, died Jan. 11, at the home of his son James, with whom he had resided since 1927. Born and educated at Peebles, Scotland, he had practiced civil engineering as a young man in irrigation projects in Egypt, where he later acquired a cotton mill. He came to Canada in 1910 and homesteaded at Mazenod, Sask., for 17 years. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. David Melville, New York; three sons, John California; Fullerton, Regina, and James, Swan River. A private funeral will be held Thursday afternoon."
