There is a record of birth of David Alexander, son of Thomas Alexander in the year 1758 in Alyth parish. From various maps, it appears that Kinkedly is located within a few hundred meters of Bamff. Thomas Alexander and Marjory McDougal were married June 1751 in Blairgowrie, Perth. And thus the marriage date agrees for the appropriate time period for David's birth. I believe David was first married to Isabell Malloch July 7, 1793. The marriage record reads "1793 - This Parish David Alexander Tenant in Kinkeadly and Isabel Mulloch, daughter of the deceased Tho Mulloch late in Fgal? presently residing in Lea...? Parish of Blairgowrie to be Proclaimed 7th July David's second wife, Jean Craigie was Christened July 19, 1767 in Blairgowrie, the daughter of Patrick (Peter) Craigie and Janet Spalding from Clayquhat, Blairgowrie. I hope to find more information on the Alexander's from the areas of Kinkedly and Bamff, and I am always appreciative of any information that anyone might be able to provide. Thanks again, Glenn.
