If they lived in two different parishes, the banns are recorded in these two parishes. You need to read the original entry in the OPRs to discover (if you are lucky)in which parish the wedding ceremony was performed. If not clear, it is best to assume that it was in the bride's parish.The odds are in favour of that. Not all marriage registers are well recorded. Some just state the two names and a date (which can either be the date the banns were first read, or the date of the wedding), or worse, just a sum of money paid. Gordon Johnson.
